As of 9 June 2025, amendments to the Corporate Service Providers Act require all entities providing corporate services—including virtual office providers—to be registered as Corporate Service Providers (CSPs) with ACRA. Here’s what you need to know:
Under the new CSP regime, every business entity that carries on a business of providing corporate services in or from Singapore must register with ACRA as a CSP. “Corporate services” include, but are not limited to:
For you as a virtual office customer, this means that we, as your service provider, will soon be an ACRA-registered CSP, subject to AML/CFT obligations and additional regulatory oversight.
The Act’s transitional provisions require existing virtual office providers to apply for CSP registration within 6 months of the commencement date (9 June 2025). In other words:
After this date, any entity providing corporate services without CSP registration faces penalties, including fines up to $50,000 and/or imprisonment for up to 2 years
